I met with my old friend Piero today, he studies at the Winchester school of Art and we decided to do an exhibition in the summer. Whether this will actually go ahead, this made me start to think about my own practice and how I was going to progress. I've always had an interest in knitting and stitching so I wanted to incorporate this into the project.
I decided to go for a walk (part of my getting fit regime) and took my sketchbook for some inspiration. I looked at the memorial plaques (right plaque?) and thought they looked really intriguing so I started to document all of them within walking distance. I thought I might play around with sewing and knitting for a while, see what comes out of it.
